As a newly appointed tenure track Assistant Professor of Trombone at Central Michigan University, Cole Bartels will give the Michigan premiere of Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free on his inaugural faculty recital. Other composers that will be programmed will feature works by Eve Beglarian, Vicki Leona (world premiere), Jay Batzner, Colin Holter, Charles Ives, and Brianna Drevlow-Jagim.
